A few years ago, Howard, Sock, Will, Loni, and Ryan accompanied by the two adventurous sisters Flo and Marg decided to take a short quick trip to the Grand Canyon. All went well on the trip up from San Diego, with the usual singing, telling stories, etc. until one hour outside the canyon. Gray smoke and a big sputter! Howard's motorhome died! We waited hours before we could flag someone down to get help! What started out as a fun normal vacation turned into a long costly mess. We were stranded. We couldn't get parts for the camper in the town of Grand Canyon, we had to pay to park at a gas station, then the motorhome had to be towed to Flagstaff! Loni's friend had to drive up to rescue us. Howard had to drive up two weeks later to pick up the motorhome.

I'm not sure about Margaret, but some of us saw enough of the Grand Canyon to last a lifetime!!
